HEART OF THE WESTSIDE
Community Living Done Right
Our Mission
Respect this area we call “home” in order to improve, preserve and protect the life in our neighborhood.
Who We Are
The Heart of the Westside neighborhood invites you to be a part of making our neighborhood a great place to live in Springfield. We are involved with providing events throughout the year such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Block Parties, Bar-B-Qs and other fun activities for the whole family. Additionally, the Association works to obtain grants for special projects such as neighborhood clean-up and enhancements to our area. We work closely with our Police Representative, Caring Communities, the City of Springfield, other neighborhood associations and more to learn and grow together.

Frequently Asked Questions
When does the Board Meet and who can come to these meetings?
The Board meets every month on the 2nd and 3rd Thursdays. The 2nd Thursday is a full neighborhood meeting with speakers and open floor. The board itself meets on the 3rd Thursdays to plan events and discuss meetings. Everyone is invited to attend either meeting but strongly encouraged to participate in the Monthly H.O.W. meetings on the 2nd Thurdays.
Why was I asked to be a voting member and why does it cost $5?
Voting membership allows you to get your voice heard. There is no funding for neighborhood associations so this is our only means of getting some basic money to do things for the neighborhood. Your $5 will allow you to vote and is a one year membership.
